polymonials

From the video and the websites I learned or became more clearer on some things. One thing I became more clear on is what Mono, Bi , and Tri mean. mono means one; bi means two; and tri means three. One thing that I learned was ia trick abouut how to think when combining like terms. When you have x to the third and x to the 2nd theycannot be combined because x^3 is like an apple and x^2 is like an orange. When grouping like things together you cannot put apples and oranges together.

One heading I chose was 30 Days 30 Ways To Save: The Bedfan. We spend a lot of money each year on air conditioning. My dad always cranks up the air at night. Instead he could put the bedfan on the bottom of his bed. Then since he likes to be cold and my mom doesn’t they could set it at my dads feet or in between them if they choose. I learned that there is a cheap way to keep cool during the night. The only thing that would make it better is if it was cheaper to buy.

The other heading I chose was 30 Days 30 Ways to Save: Slash your grocery bill. I chose this because our grocery bill is about 150 dollars a week or more. by getting organic foods and the off-brand chips and granola bars we can save a ton of money. Even my dad will save money grocery shopping (he likes buying the most expensive food because he thinks it tastes better = ] ) by simply looking for the cheaper option.

3)Now you can figure out how much will it cost you to fill your tank. Use the link below to find local gas prices.

Second Assignment

Second Assignment- There is a method to my madness! :) Write about why you think I am having you blog in math class - How will it help you? Will it help you? What is the point??? (a 7th grader's favorite question...)

I think you are having us make a blog because it will help us process what we learned. We can help others remember exactly whats going on in class. Also if were not at school we can look at the blogs made by other students to understand whats going on. It will help me because I
sometimes dont understand whats going on. The blogs will be a fun way to get kids to learn. The whole idea of blogging will get us interested. We can even pick up at home where we left off. This is a fun way to get everybody interested in math.
